Hi Jeff,
The first post in this thread is from a very happy customer.
In fact when I told Chris about the new skin for DA on Friday, Chris started the new tutorial the same day.I had the finished product on Sunday! NOW THAT IS SERVICE WITH A SMILE! :D

When I ordered the original DA skin at about 3:00 am it was ready by the time I woke up the next day. I don't think this guy sleeps? :o

It is very easy to see how Chris has hundreds of happy customers. He ranks very high in the google search also. Well at least he did when I searched for these tutorials.

FTP works allot like a LAN, except it allows computers (such as the one that you use to surf the internet) to connect to a computer that is somewhere else in the world. For example.... My computer "FTP's" to your server and then I issue an "Upload" command to move the files from MY computer to YOUR server.

Basically, it clogs my email for 30 - 40 minutes while it is sending the email. Then it clogs YOUR email for 30 - 40 minutes while you try to download it. ( I use a POP account, just like most other people). It might be a small price to pay for YOU, but for me, it would mean that I could not even check my emails.

I will be providing a alternative download solution starting immediately, for those people who do not want to provide a temporary FTP account.

I will not respond to any more questions about how I conduct business. The bottom line is that I treat my customers with the up-most respect and I am willing to go the extra mile (sometimes further) for each and every one of them.

you might want to change them demo's to the new skin instead of the deafult one. its called powered now or summit. its just that its an official skin realised by DA and im sure at least 90% of people are using it.

just my 0.02 cents.

Umm... have you checked that link recently?

From that page, on September 3rd, 2004.

"There are no shipping fees. We will upload your complete tutorials to your server via FTP. The finial set of tutorials that we deliver to you will be in a ZIP file. If you can not provide an FTP account, we will upload the tutorials to our server for you to download. There will be a fee of $5 per set of tutorials for this option."

Seems to still require the $5.00.

I just want to comment on a previous thing you said where you will not respond to how you conduct your business. I can understand not wanting to change your business model, but to be honest, the way you said it comes off as being very petty and childish.

It is a vaild concern from potential customers that you are dismissing out of hand, that and your explaination of ftp actually did not answer the question - as your explaination clearly gave an example of the files coming from your server which negates your argument. Not trying to be picky, but it is you that posted the explaination. And please consider your audience. You are on a site for web hosts. I would think that most of us understand how ftp works.

I personally am intersted in your demos, and have a couple of ideas for other demos for you to create. Please don't be so defensive about your business practices., it comes across as you having something to hide. I do think it is a rather strange way to do things. After all, isn't your time to upload the files worth something too?

Why not just raise the price say $3.00 across the board and offer the downloads.

I don't know (and don't care as it isn't my business) how much you make. But I know places where you can get a dedicated server for about $30.00 per month with 300+gb xfer per month.

Sorry, that page was updated and then restored to an older date and I simply forgot to update it again.

All tutorials are delivered via download. I will update that page again.

Actually, you would be surprised that there are SOME hosts that are not educated in what they are doing.

Actually looking at the reseller options compared to the user options in DA there are quite a few less - so less reseller options are to be expected :)

I suppose 9 just looks less compared to the 20 now ;)
