Hi,

The compagnie where I have my domain, use DirectAdmin. Now i want to set up forwards. The problem is when I send an email from gmail sometimes it takes a hour to go trough the forward. But now the strange thing: When I send a email from hotmail it will go trough the forward within a second! Does someone know what's the problem? It's not a server issue i guess because a domain on a other server (other host compagnie) with DirectAdmin has the same problem. Thank you.

The only way to find out is by checking the exim logs. To do that you need root access to the server, so I'd suggest you contact your hosting provider for help.

Yes i've called them today. They saw in a log (don't know which) that the emails all are delevered, a reboot of the mail server is no option in his opinion.

Of course the problem could be a delay after it's received by gmail. If your host won't help you, then we certainly can't.

A few days ago I noticed a temporary delay in gmail forwarding to my directadmin box, it seemed like a temporary gmail issue.

Mmm, a couple of days when i've called the host, he asked me to send a email and at the same moment the guy saw a good delivery of the mail to my gmail.

At this moment i've tested again the forward and now it's working fine, strange...
