Going back a few version

I wish to ga back to the 4.0 version thread because i have had nothing but problems on high load with mysql.

It just crashed EVERY morning when my load is high. My old server was running 4.0 and it was fine and 3x less in speed.

Is there a way to go back to the 4.0 version instead of the 4.1 version?

You are talking about downgrading from MySQL 4.1 to 4.0, right?

Shouldn't be a problem, but you'll need to dump all the databases, downgrade the packages and then reload the databases.
