google sitemap xml

Hi all.

I have a subdomain that I want to add a Sitemap.xml to. Google has this error:

URL not allowed
This url is not allowed for a Sitemap at this location.

I believe Google wants the file in a higher level - root, I believe. Does this mean the main domain's root file and how do I find that?

Any suggestions?

I think you need to put your sitemap.xml under

/home/username/domains/domain.tld/public_html

Then all should be fine...
