The tool works correctly. But it does not register the 'bounces'.
I have followed all the steps of:
http://octeth.com/wiki/Setting_up_bounce_email_piping_in_Linux/DirectAdmin
but there is no way to get it.
Help me, please.

Example of a frozen email ( returned by pipe ) :

1O1djJ-0005mJ-IQ-H
mail 8 12
<>
1271155949 0
-ident mail
-received_protocol local
-body_linecount 230
-allow_unqualified_recipient
-allow_unqualified_sender
-frozen 1271156575
-localerror
-manual_thaw

I've not used it with DA - but can say that their wiki states this:

Checklist If in doubt, quickly check that all of the following are correct:

* You have the correct shebang line
* Your script has permissions of 0755
* The directory in which your script lives has permissions of 0755
* Your catch-all account is setup correctly and the forwarder for the catch-all is also pointing to bounce.php. Double check that the path to your script is correct.

And it goes on to say that you should send them a support ticket if you can't get it to work.

Let me know how you go? I have a few clients who are asking me about email marketing software - what to recommend.

How do you find it?

Hello Ranz
I use it for a long time. Before I had it running with CPANEL.
As a professional tool is perfect, but very complex if something does not work.

Fully customizable, fast and clean.

One problem.
After 6 months of support, do not respond to your tikets, unless you return to pay $99.

I'm gathering the ESP license is like an "unlimited" license and aimed at service providers like us? (i.e. so we can resell "plans" to our clients).

That be the case - is there a WHMCS module?

ESP Edition
Ideal For:
Web agencies

User Accounts:
Unlimited Users

Payment Reporting:
Payment Gateway Integration:
User Privileges and Limits:
Unlimited Subscriber Lists:
Unlimited Email Campaigns:
Unlimited Auto Responders:

API and Plug-In Support:
PreviewMyEmail.com Integration:
6 Months Free Upgrade and Support Service:

License Price:
$745.00 USD ( A bit expensive to be no support. )

In my view does not contain module WHMCS

Yeah it does seem strange for no support - and they also mention no updates ...

In looking at your error/bounce message - I can't help but think it might be a PHP thing. Have you tried to run the script from console/ssh?

i.e.

Code:
php -q /home/mailing/domains/mailingmedia.net/public_html/mailbox/cli/bounce.php

you may need to turn php errors on in your php.ini

verify all that is ok and permissions ok - then check into VERP as you indicated.

you need to add Zend Optimiser or IonCube loader in your php.ini - check the script and see if it is Zend or Ioncube. Then check their docs on how to load it in php.ini. Then try script again.

That could be the prob.

:) Yeah right!. I have Zend Optimizer installed.

[Zend]
zend_extension_manager.optimizer=/usr/local/Zend/lib/Optimizer-3.3.3
zend_extension_manager.optimizer_ts=/usr/local/Zend/lib/Optimizer_TS-3.3.3
zend_optimizer.version=3.3.3
zend_extension=/usr/local/Zend/lib/ZendExtensionManager.so
zend_extension_ts=/usr/local/Zend/lib/ZendExtensionManager_TS.so

It should run on the console, right?

Actually everything works fine. I think the problem is that "bounces" remain frozen for some reason in the exim queue.

This is an example:

Exim will freeze bounces if they're undeliverable back at your end. The best thing to do is try to find out why they're undeliverable at your end.

Make sure the sender is a mailbox address which exists, or if you're using a pipe to a script, make sure there aren't any mistakes.

Otherwise unfreezing won't help.

Jeff

That is, I do not think that the application has an error, is it possible that the configuration of exim.conf ?

The messages are:

I've seen posts on these forums mentioning errors in how piping works (or doesn't work) sometimes; it was always down to an issue in how the piping was done. Search these forums and the Knowledge Base.

OEMPRO Email Support

Dear Jose,

Sorry for not being able to help you but this issue seems to be related to your mail server, probably something related to piping or permissions. I am sure your server admin will be able to help you better related to setting up your email piping. This kind of server issues are beyond our service limits.

Please keep me updated, thank you.

Best regards,
Cem Hurturk

Cem and I agree, but I know that DirectAdmin allows you all the piping you want. If you carefully check these forums and the knowledgebase you should see what you need.

Maybe a permissions issue somewhere?

We could help you but I don't think you need to consider spending money on this.

Jeff

I got it!

UUAuuuuuuu!!!
I got it!

The problem was in the configuration of "forward" :

IN DIRECTADMIN :

incorrect pipe

"|/home/mailing/domains/.../cli/bounce.php"

correct pipe
"|/usr/local/bin/php /home/..../cli/bounce.php "

I am very happy, thank you all.
