I'm new to this site and I've been working on my site

the problem I'm having is that not all of my files have the edit option.

I've tried refreshing the page a few times

what can I do to fix this?

Thanks,
Jeanette

Welcome to the forums, Jeanette! :)

Are you using the File Manager?

One possibility (since you didn't give an example):

Only certain types of files are editable. If your file extension is "unusual" (i.e. not .txt or .php or .htm or .html) then there isn't an edit link.

You can work around this problem by renaming the file to end in ".html", edit it, then rename it back.

Hi,

thanks I figured it out

I guess .html can't be .HTML

once I had seen the ones that had the edit were in lower case I changed the others and it worked

Is there anywhere where the file extensions can be added to so more types are editable? A general config for this would be very useful. Renaming files to edit them when there are lots is not ideal.

I could go for this feature as well. You might want to put it in as a Feature Request in the Feedback & Feature Request forums.
