HELO smtp problem for Gmail and Outlook/Hotmail

Hi all :)

I got Directadmin installed on a VPS server with multi domains set on the same IP.

Yesterday i just saw that there was a problem when i send e-mail using any mail address i create via directadmin panel and for any domain.

After looking for some reasons, i noticed some problems like DKIM not activated or SPF not correctly set on DNS. I manage to do those things but the problem is still not fixed.

When i send e-mail to any ISP address it works correctly, but when it's on GMAIL or OUTLOOK/HOTMAIL, e-mail directly goes to SPAM.

Seems like it's related to the HELO config. I looked after some fixes but it's a little blurred for me.

So here is an excerpt of the e-mail source on GMAIL (same error on OUTLOOK) :

You need to set the Reverse DNS of your IP to the hostname of your server, if you cant do this directly (you cant do that from directadmin), you have to ask to your vps provider.

So i've added a reverse DNS like you've told me. Now for Google it's ok, mails doesn't goes to spam anymore in Gmail but I still got the problem with outlook/Hotmail/Live.

So what i don't understand is :

- Gmail return me an error for IPV6 but mail goes to inbox
- Hotmail seems to not return any error but goes to spam

So, is the problem could be i got to config the ipv6 reverse DNS to hostname like for IPV4 ?

Since you did provide the hostname, i dont see any reason to hide the IP.. hide those kind of information is not right, since we need those information to try to help and debug your problem ;)

Sayd that... For the IPv6 as for IPv4 you need to contact your ISP to ask them to create the right PTR record for Reverse DNS.

Also, your IP appear to be in a RBL, check here: http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

Also, the error is pretty clear and it is:

So it mean that your DNS SPF Record doesnt have the IPv6 listed as authorized sender.

I always have problems with google that will not let me send email while their spammers always come.
I set correttamante spf, dkim, dns fact I received by the notice of acceptance.
Unfortunately, the mail is refused
