Have a catchall account on my domain that I do not want to have to turn off. But I am getting more than 600 messages an hour into that account that are bounces from various accounts on other domains back into non-existent accounts on my domain.
Clearly, one or more people have a virus that is shotgunning messages with faked from/return addresses that contain my domain.
What's the best way to filter these out? The DirectAdmin email filters section doesn't seem to have a way to filter messages with certain phrases in the subject or in the "from" line, only from the body of the email, which is broader than I want.
Failing that, what's the best way to set up a dozen or so email address for a "single" retrieval. In other words, let's say right now my catchall is "Fred", but I also get mail for Barney, Wilma, Betty, and Dino. In future, I expect to add Bam-Bam, MrSlate, and others. I could turn off catch all and then use my email client (Thunderbird) to retrieve messages to any of these accounts, but I don't want to have to make multiple trips from Thunderbird. I also don't want to have to check each account individually when using Squirrel Mail or any of the other web interfaces.
Can I set those other accounts up to forward to a single account and then delete, so I don't have to worry about cleaning them out? What are my other options?
Thanks in advance...
