help! how do I upload word documents?

Hi everyone

I have started a website and am using DirectAdmin to build it.

It is a very good program so far, but I don't know how to
upload Word and Excel documents for people to access and download from the site e.g.

www.mysite.com/downloads/tutorial.doc


Can anyone please help?

I've tried searching for help but can't find anything?

You can upload them through DirectAdmin's File Manager.

I can upload the files now but the last part is how do I

get them into my website so people can access them?

Upload the files to the public_html directory of one of your domains. (domains/example.com/public_html)

So, domain/example.com/public_html/test.doc would be http://example.com/test.doc

I suggest contacting your hosting provider who can possibly provide a detailed tutorial. There are also some visual tutorials available elsewhere on these forums.

Google is also an excellent source (even though people say they are trying to take over the world )

It's weird hearing your own voice being broadcast on the
net for all the hear!

How does that system work? it's a bit weird with the
/public stuff but it's seems to be working fine now!
