I'm like so close to calling it quits on this piece. I am BEYOND frustrated right now, so forgive me if I sound a little mad.

Anyways, my problem is.. I use DirectAdmin and I own a RedHat Linux server. Essentially, I tried editing the httpd.conf file just the way that Godaddy says, but everytime I add those 3 lines, which are correct, Apache will either say, "Error" when I try to restart it. Or, it will turn off and not turn back on until I restore the original config file.

So, I said, "screw that", and started using DA to upload my SSL info in the DA SSL page. All seemed fine, it said everything was accepted, but now when I go to https:// on my server, it says, "Untrusted Domain" and it "couldn't verify the issuer of the certificate"..

Could somebody please help me!? I need it QUICK.

You installed the new SSL Cert, but did you install a CA Cert (Intermediate Cert.) for the SSL vendor? If not, this would explain the error that you are seeing.

Go back to Godaddys SSL site . Have a look at the "FAQ" page and find the link for installing the SSL. Follow the links until you get to the page where you can download the "Intermediate Cert". Get a copy of their Intermediate Cert and install it on your hosting account under the SSL section.

Look at the bottom of the page (DA SSL Section), and you will see "Click Here to paste a CA Root Certificate". Paste the intermediate cert in the appropriate area.
