Hostname driving me crazy!

My server is using ns1/ns2 24proxy.com and nuke.24proxy.com.

When the server was handed over to me it had the IP address as the hostname. So i decided to change it to nuke.24proxy.com BUT nuke.24proxy.com DOSN'T work.

I have no idea what to do. I tried adding a A entry to 24proxy but that didn't work .

is it under /etc/hostname also?

nuke.24proxy.com isn't resolvable by ns1.24proxy.com.
