hotmail reject my emails

hello guys

whenever i setup new server Hotmail always block/reject emails is there any idea or setup guideline that I can follow and whitelist my emails
I have setup properly DKIM and SPF records that's why google yahoo etc. all working fine excetp hotmail.live and outlook.com

Yes that seems to be the policy nowadays with Microsoft. New ip's are likely spammers so you are guilty until proven otherwise. :)
Just a joke, but it does comes very near the truth. It can also be the ip you have was abused in the past.

Best way to handle is to become a member of Microsoft's SNDS and add the ip's in the Junk Mail Reporting Program which you can see there too.

Then try to get the ip's unlisted from their greylist. Remember to always be polite.

@Richard G it's not a joke, it's true ;)
we must register in their service to delist IPs each time. it takes 1-2 weeks to delist :(
 
@Zhenyapan Oh did they go that far already? I thought they just did that with VPS and not every time on certain data centers.
Pffff.... 2 weeks is long. Then I'm glad I'm on existing systems. If we move it mostly took a couple of days (2-3 days) to be delisted again. 1-2 weeks is long. :(
 
Yup we should al mention this to the the European Commissioner for competition
I did it in Holland at ACM but they don't ( to less Personal)
Transip Hoster has problems while they are Partner from Microsoft to do that themselves.
So no fair competition possible against Hotmail Office 365 outlook and more for our mailservices.


This is very bad for fair competition while it isn't! :(

You may need to have some back and forth conversation. They may decline, you'll reply and ask them to reconsider. Repeat as necessary. It's not actually begging, it's their job to work this way. Don't take it personally, stay calm and polite, just be firm.

That is so true, mostly in the first place it will be declined but when you can really explain your situation they will whitelist your IP.

Yup, but this makes it so absurd, for them "normal" for all of us extra work and bad for email services, where we does have the things al right in specs and results. :(
 
The SNDS reports an IP of my server is in a ban-list at them every 2-4 weeks. What is funny here, the server runs DNS only, and no other public services are on the board. So I can assume they block subnets, and you might suffer of a bad neighborhood.

yes they do block all then , and that is not normal , normal is to block the real bad ip's servers not if one or more at hoster are bad all others from that hoster out of the range.

Bad practice, Telekom Germany does it the right way if you have a problem, contact them once and then ( if your server isn't spamming ofcourse) it stay's ok for your ip (s) ( even if bad neighborhood.)

So it is possible to do it the right fair way for "competitors"

Hosters can't hold all of the Ip's clean themselves all the time that is so normal yes?

That is because they are (surely used in the past ) using UCEPROTECTL3 and UCEPROTECTL2 blacklist

They don't. It's a commonly cited misconception because they once published an article to help their customers understand what to do if a Microsoft IP was found blacklisted on that list.

It's junked. So that's a problem.

Use the form that ikkeben posted. Then state in the mail that you are a new user of that ip and you haven't send spam since you just got the ip (or don't have it for long).

If you have a main domain on that server which already was known before not spamming on another ip, mention that you just moved servers and had no spam issues before.

You probably get a default answer. Reply to that default answer to get in touch with a real MS employee and they can be of help to you.
Also state you became an SNDS and JMPR member to prevent any spam and fulfill Microsoft's requirements.

Probably, but there where many reports and post about this and most of them are complaining about the used blacklist (UCEPROTECTL) by MS.

Also keep monitoring. Limit the amound of messages being send. If all your users don't need to send out more than 500 mails a day, then limit the daily e-mail limit.
You can disable CSF mails, but don't disable them all, CSF/LFD and/or DA can warn you if suddenly a load of mails is send, if you see that happening, react instantly to limit more spam and prevent getting on lists.
