How do you configure your ticket notification messages?

I'm struggling with this. By default the link in notifications is:

http://<hostname>.<mydomain.tld>:2222/CMD_TICKET?action=view&number=0000000xx&type=ticket

Clicking that does get to a login screen so the ticket can be viewed, but it's not an https:// connection, which I'd like to change. And it's ugly.

I notice the notifications I get from DirectAdmin proper look like this:

https://tickets.directadmin.com/ticket.php?hash=<unique code here>

Is there a guide to switch to this cleaner, more secure, easier to use (no login!) format?

We have an external ticketing system (combined with our order and billing), so we don't use DA's....... You can configure the template in /usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/message_tech.txt, when you do edit it, copy it in /usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/custom/

Thanks, Peter. What ticketing system are you using?

I'm using client-exec on top of direct-admin - do you know if it's possible to integrate the two?

I'd suggest checking SupportPal too :)

DirectAdmin lets you define ticketing system URL (and disable DA ticketing system), if that's what you're looking for.

I use the same thing, it has a Directadmin plugin, but not for communicating with Directadmin tickets, just for create/delete/suspend/unsuspend packages, which I'm sure you use.

SupportPal is awesome software.
