How to check user login history under ssh?

I want to check my user login history, but I dont want to using directadmin to check the status, because it will show out I my ip is his control panel.

How can I using ssh to view the login history file? But file is locate the information?

Use: last | grep [username]

or

last | head

/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/username/login.hist is where DirectAdmin stores login history for that particular user.

it seems my server can't update the admin password but changing the root password can. how did this happen..?
