How to create mailbox full warning?

Hello,

I would like to find how I can set up a "mailbox full auto reply message". I have most of my accounts set on 50 MB, but some of my clients are using over 200 MB... without knowing it. And people from outside are also possible to send mail, even if the quota is exceeded... So would be nice if new messages are blocked and an autoreply is sended.

anyone having the same problem or knows how to resolve?

they should get the mail bounced back after a few days, when the box is still full

Thank you for your quick help!
I have a client on holliday for two weeks, and his quota is exceeded for more than seven days, and still new mails entering...

The same thing for other clients...

check your exim logs if the mail is accepted in th users box, or you see msgs like mailbox is full

not here... we setup a 10MB limit, but the account can still receive emails like normaly does.
This is happening in all our servers. The limit has no effect..

Do you have the latest exim.conf? The quota files that are setup wouldn't have any effect if exim doesn't use them
