Hi guys,

I'm new to DirectAdmin and I have a candid question:

is it possible to set up a counter for the main page, in DirectAdmin?

I just shifted from Control Panel where setting up a counter is quite simple, but I don't know anything about DA features...

Thanks a lot!

If you mean within the DirectAdmin pages themselves you will need to make a custom skin with the counter code in them.

Hi jmstacey,

Thanks for the answer, umm, it seems it's not quite easy to set up a counter...

I forgot to mention, I'm an end-user..
So I want the counter to be in a corner of my home-page; within the Direct Admin there is the Webalizer which OK, offers plenty of information but I just want to be able to see the number of accesses with a quick look instead of loggin-in everytime!

So, do you think it's possible..?

I'm not sure what you mean Jon, there are literally thousands of page counters available on the net that you can include into any page.

Thread moved; this is a user issue.

Jeff,
I get the impression he wants it within the DirectAdmin user level page since he mentions both in the same sentence. This would require editing DirectAdmins skin files which you need root access for.

Of course you can always search google or write your own if you want it on your web pages.
