WARNING: I am a major DirectAdmin noob. I know how to setup stuff in Linux perfectly but now I'm gonna have to figure out how to do stuff in DirectAdmin without breaking things and with keeping in mind that my changes should survive any DirectAdmin updates..
I am trying to have phpMyAdmin running on a different port so I can secure it with our firewall. There's already a list of ip's in the firewall set to allow management to that server (port 2222) so I would really like to just add an extra port to that rule instead of having to maintain an extra .htaccess on the server. Running it on 2222 would be absolutely perfect of course because then I don't have to change a thing.
I thought I did that with this part of the documentation but that doesn't do what it says. It just removes it from the DirectAdmin menu which makes absolutely no sense...
Can somebody give me a kick in the right direction? Some terms to google for or a link to correct documentation?
