I've followed given steps installing Tomcat.
But I can't start it.
when I write ./startup.sh
the respond is
Using CATALINA_BASE: /usr/local/tomcat
Using CATALINA_HOME: /usr/local/tomcat
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /usr/local/tomcat/temp
Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/local/java/java
but tomcat won't start .
when I type
http://myhost:8081
it throws me "This page cannot be displayed"
I manually changed port to 8081.
Here is my server.xml
<Server port="8005" shutdown="SHUTDOWN" debug="0">
