ok i know it's been almost over a year since someone posted here last but i got stuck with the same problem today and the solution is far more easier then the above one.
I've got this to work as the target server runs directadmin don't know with other control panels.
1. First you have to set-up an A-record to the subdomain you want to redirect with the ip of the target server.
2. Make an account at the target directadmin server and fill in the subdomain you redirected as domain.
Voila your done!
