Image Magick

Thanks. But I edited my last reply with my soution. It was to uninstall with yum, and then install with rpm and nodeps. It solved all problems. Job done.

Test results of running Image Magick

Can someone provide test results of Image Magick?

for example there is a CMS like Typo3 that uses this library and i want to know the test result of generating images.

Can someone provide me with your results, because i don`t know if my server running slow on this functions.

Thanks!

p.s. i got this link what helped me to install Image Magick - HERE

@index, do you have a link to a test tool, if not I don't know how to test perfomance.

After installation of ImageMagick and Imagick from source, I only have one small problem: When using "convert" in php script, I get this error in Apache error log:

Code:
which: no convert in (/bin:/usr/bin)

However if I use the full path in php script, like /usr/local/bin , then it works.

So, in php script commands like "convert" etc only work with full path. I don't have that problem in command line shell.

To summarize:

1: Executing "convert" in php scripts runs /usr/bin/convert (wich does not exist)

2: Running "which convert" in command line shows /usr/local/bin/convert

I don't know how I can fix this? Is it normal? Currently I can only use it in php if using the full path before the commands ...

Fix your system PATH variable

I have investigated this path issue regarding ImageMagick for 24 hours, and I have not come to understand what I need to do. Can you provide more information?

I must also say that I have installed ImageMagick on 3 different servers, all has the same problem as described above.

Code:
env
show you current system variables

Code:
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin

Add your needed path to current PATH variable.

Thanks! However when I run "env" it looks to me like I already have the /usr/local/bin path, here it is:

Code:
[root@server ~]# env
HOSTNAME=server.domain.com
TERM=xterm
SHELL=/bin/bash
HISTSIZE=1000
SSH_CLIENT=xx.xx.xx.xx 49903 22

Should I still run the command export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin ? Would you be willing to look at this problem for payment? I can give you access to one of the servers (they all has same problem).

SelleRoNe fixed my problem with ImageMagick path in PHP. I was running php cgi/suphp, but the env.path set by suphp in files: /usr/local/suphp/etc/suphp.conf was the problem. The fix was to change this line in suphp.conf:
Code:
env_path="/bin:/usr/bin"

To be like this instead:
Code:
env_path="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin"

And then restart Apache. Thank you SeLLeRoNe for fixing this!
