Hi

The mailserver works OK.

But, now I want to be able to send email from a script through this DirectAdmin server (LOCAL) from another machine (REMOTE).

2008-07-18 13:39:59 [20775] SMTP connection from [REMOTE]:50187 I=[LOCAL]:25 (TCP/IP connection count = 1)
2008-07-18 13:39:59 [20906] H=(ressurs) [REMOTE]:50187 I=[LOCAL]:25 incomplete transaction (QUIT) from <post@LOCAL>
2008-07-18 13:39:59 [20906] SMTP connection from (ressurs) [REMOTE]:50187 I=[LOCAL]:25 closed by QUIT

The log says Incomplete transaction and Quit every time I run the script that sends out an email. The remote server is a win2008 server with SMTP set to connect with username/password against the DirectAdmin server.

Anyone knows what is wrong or where I can find more info? Perhaps how to allow that single remote IP to be able to relay without giving username/pass?

You can whitelist the sending server by IP# or by name if you want.

Look at the whitelist files in /etc/virtual/

I added the sending IP (REMOTE) into "/etc/whitelist_hosts", but didn't seem to help. I also tried restarting Exim after the change.

No need to restart exim unless making changes to the exim.conf file.

Check your logs to see whether your server is even getting the mail, and if so, what it's doing with it.
