Insecure server advertised?

I am trying to get DWMail working on my server...no matter what I do, it always throws this error when I log in:

There was an error connecting to your mail server. Your server reported: SECURITY PROBLEM: insecure server advertised AUTH=PLAIN
Retrying PLAIN authentication after Authentication failed.
SECURITY PROBLEM: insecure server advertised AUTH=PLAIN
Retrying PLAIN authentication after Authentication failed.
SECURITY PROBLEM: insecure server advertised AUTH=PLAIN
Can not authenticate to IMAP server: Authentication failed.

Anyone ever seen this?

Have you looked into the /var/log/maillog log for errors?
