Hi There,

I am new here and I hope I am at the right place on the right time. Recently I have changed my server OS from CentOS to Debian 9. (version 9.6 to be exact). On the google's official installation guide (https://www.modpagespeed.com/doc/download) there is straight forward instructions on how to install it, but I think this is meant for more generic type of server rather than the "Direct Admin" specific. Nevertheless, when I try to install it by following the guide, it tries to install
Code:
apache2 apache2-bin apache2-data apache2-utils libapr1 libaprutil1
  libaprutil1-dbd-sqlite3 libaprutil1-ldap liblua5.2-0
Problem is DA already installed Apache2 (it's just called httpd2 I think...). I know this beyond the scope of DA's product support and I am hoping someone can write a installation guide that is more specific to DA. Thanks in advance and sorry to take up your time.

Messy but works

Hello,

I believe the *deb package contains a *.so file and a config file for Apache to load the *.so file and some basic directives.

You might extract the *.deb package and connect files manually. Check: https://linux-tips.com/t/how-to-extract-deb-package/169
Thank you... that’s exactly what I have done. First I have done a FORCE INSTALL without DEPS check. Then added the LoadModule directive to httpd_include.conf and the configuration under the LoadModule directive. It’s messy and long but it works. Now my site scores 96 on the desktop version 97 on mobile version ... sweet.
