Installed SSL Cert Now Site is Down

Hi,

need some help

I purchased a cert for my domain www.getstuff.com.au

Followed the instructions per the site helper
http://www.site-helper.com/ssl.html

1. Got a Cert Request
2. Went and purchased the CA. Used a "QuickSSL Premium
3. Go the email with the cert
4. Pasted this "Underneath" the Cert Request
5. Then completed with "Install the CA Root Certificate"

Now my site does not work. I get "Redirection limit for this URL exceeded."

Im sure i followed the guide. Step by Step and im sure i didnt miss anything

Can anyone suggest what could be wrong?

ok here's an update

i can now get to the site, but when i checkout i get the following error.

Not Found

The requested URL /checkout/onepage/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

what is going wrong here?

Must have something to do with the way your program is configured.

YES you can select to make a link from SSL to standard in the CP though.

by default here is how it works

SSL > private_html

HTTP > Public_html

Just select the redirection option for ssl to public_html

hey scisi,

the reason i ask is, in my shopping cart if i disabled ssl on checout it works fine.

So im wondering is there a setting to tell the web server to use the same folders for the files than .. what i think its doing is looking for an ssl folder.

Apparently plesk had this, but im not sure about cpanel.

right found the answer

In your domain setup you need to make sure you do the following

Use a symbolic link from private_html to public_html - allows for same data in http and https
