I've been moving over my domains to my DirectAdmin panel and using the default nameservers at Namecheap with no problems.
I tried moving over a new domain today and namecheap is telling me the nameservers are invalid.
I'm trying to move a .digital domain.

Here is what namecheap told me:
You need to contact the DNS provider and ask them to register the DNS. Your DNS service provider is the company that provides the nameservers ns1.server-xx-xxx-xx-xx.da.direct and ns2.server-xx-xxx-xx-xx.da.direct for your domain name.

Who is the DNS provider in the case of the DirectAdmin default nameservers?

Any help on this appreciated.

Namecheap in this case, if you registered the domain there.

If you want to run your own nameservers, then you should configure your server correctly and not use the da.direct domain for your own nameservers, also I would strongly advise to change your domain name to a domain name from a domain you own yourself.

Check this thread, things are explained inluding a link to a manual on how to change your hostname to a hostname you own yourself.

Unless you don't have 2 ip's and/or don't want to run nameservers yourself, then you have to use the nameservers of your registrar you registered the .digital domain with, probably Namecheap, you know that one best yourself.

Thanks for the info. I decided at this time to do all the dns at the registrar.
On a side note.. For me, DirectAdmin for a lot of the forums and documentation are like a GUI product doesnt exist. All the info is about command line and lifting up the hood when there is a whole easy to use interface available in the product itself. But thats just me :).
