IP assignment for a user?

Hi folks, relatively new to DA here, but have some confusion on whether or not an ip address can be assigned to an individual user on my server.

I have several ips already assigned, but they are to the server itself (where this user is as well) and some to resellers. Any suggestions or is it possible to give a step by step on "upgrading" a user to a reseller status?

There is a user tool located in the 3rd party forums that is capable of the type of account manipulation you desire (e.g. user -> reseller)

IP Addresses can be assigned to a users on a per-account basis but not a per-domain basis at this time.
When logged into DirectAdmin either under admin or reseller levels, view a list of your users and edit the plan of the one you wish to assign a personal IP address to. Select the free IP from the drop down box instead of using the default server shared IP address.

If all you want to do is assign an IP# to a user, you don't need to upgrade him/her to a reseller to do that; assign her/his reseller an IP#, and then the reseller assigns it to the user.
