I want to choose the best hosting for my website and for that, I wanted to know why many providers say that they are using the DirectAdmit panel as an alternative to Cpanel. But I wanted to know its compatibility with centos. Just I wanted to know it in detail so that I can start to work with hosting using Centos.

It does work with Centos, although many are choosing Almalinux instead nowadays. But feel free to use the Centos stream.

Hello,

From a point of view of site visitors and possible customers that are about to buy services from your site, there is no difference whether you run CentOS/RedHat or Debian/Ubuntu. Even more: hosting users that might purchase a hosting account from you (if you are going to sell them of course) hardly ever will care which OS you run, while their web applications are online. Trying to identify which OS is better, you might spend too much time, and still won't find an answer.

If you still want to feel the difference, you're adviced to install 2 servers: one with CentOS/AlmaLinux and another with Ubuntu/Debian. Run them actively for an year or two, and I you might find out which one is best for you. DirectAdmin will still run the same good on any of them.
