Is the separate /boot partition really necessary for DirectAdmin?

Hello. I am new customer :)

I install Centos 8 in a Linode 2cores 4GB ram.
Linode's default partition scheme does not create a separate /boot partition, only two partitions one for root / and other for swap.
Linode gives you the ability to install a custom Linux distribution, but I have to do other procedures, which I wouldn't want to follow unless "strictly necessary".

My questions are:

1. Is the separate boot partition 100% necessary to install DirectAdmin?
2. If optional, what are the added benefits of using a separate boot partition?

Thanks in advance.

1. it's not necessary. but it's recommended
2. for secure benefits

also /tmp mounted with noexec,nosuid,nodev
and /var/tmp binded to /tmp
