Legacy DirectAdmin no longer useful?

Reading this thread, I realised I’m facing the same decision. I still have a DirectAdmin VM in my homelab, running alongside dozens of other VMs in a Proxmox cluster. These days, it mostly looks after older projects and websites I host for friends and family.

I already run Docker and Kubernetes there too, so I have somewhere to move my projects when the time comes. And since I’ve been managing everyone’s sites myself for years, they probably won’t notice much difference, most of them have long forgotten how to log into DirectAdmin anyway.

The practical side should be manageable. It’s the nostalgia that makes it harder. DirectAdmin has been part of my setup for so long that retiring it feels like closing a chapter. I’m frustrated that it’s come to this, but mostly sad to see that era end.
