Hi,

why the owned directadmin license is only valid for one month? it seems that is renewed every month?

It is correct that owned lifetime license need to be renewed every month, but this happens automatically. When you click on "Licensing / Updates" in DirectAdmin, you will find this information (wich shows you the true expiry at the end of the quoted text):

This Portioned License is a license that has a true expiry at a date farther into the future than is set in the physical key. The license will automatically update to the next time period when the key's expiry nears.

Hi,

yes your right, but I don't get why only one month? if there are problems with the directadmin licenses servers there is a change to have an issue

if the licenses are lifetime, it could have a check once per year no?
 
It has to do with IP changes in that if we don't want 2 copies of the same license out there with different IPs at the same time.
The license is still going to be valid and updated to the entire length that you've paid for, but DA will just need to get a new one each month, which it should do automatically.
