LiteSpeed Web Server vs. Apache 2x

Apache is the mainstream and also simply works. What does litespeed have that apache doesn't?

Since you can modify the configurations that DirectAdmin creates it could be possible to change it to a litespeed configuration structure. However this is assuming that litespeed uses a similar configuration, can be located in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
and accepts includes as apache does tailing the master httpd.conf.

Also forgot to add, please let us know what version of apache you are comparing litespeed to and why you think DirectAdmin should replace apache.

I'm interested in your findings, but I highly doubt DirectAdmin will change. We're having a hard enough time getting them to change to courier imap.

well , im comparing apache 2.0.52 and litespeed. i'm running a test box here and i have put both under high loads and speed test and i noticed litespeed handle it better not much different, but speed i noticed 10-15 % faster loads.

Do you really want to have to explain to possible clients why you don't use the most used webserver on the 'net and instead use something they've never heard of?

I sure don't.
