Hy.I have a server with 2.8 GHZ Geniune Intel,3 GB RAM and a lot of websites(under 30).The thing is that smth is eating my cpu.I have always at least 160 processes running and apache & mysql is eating my cpu.My cpu utilization never drops from 1.70 .I dunno whe to do.I`m a n00b in linux.Please give me raw commands to run in putty.I`m a complete n00b in linux but a expert in Windows.

PS.I have OS : Debian 3.1.
 
You will need to do some more research and provide some more information for us to give recommendations.
Such as, what process is using the bulk of the load. If you temporarily shut down that particular process, does the load drop back down under 1?

You may also want to look into optimizing Apache and MySQL, which are usually the culprits.

Regarding apache optimizations, that depends on what kind of websites your hosting, among other things... Your best reading the apache forums for other peoples optimization stories.
