Hi..

I'm getting all mail sent from the server "shell" shows as Norwegian language, and the Windows Mail client "em-client" shows "Norwegian language detected, Do you want to translate message now?"

I looked in DirectAdmin settings for the language, but it's English there!!

how can I fix that and have all mail in English?

TIA.

What do you mean by "server shell". Is that mail from root?
If yes then I'm wondering in which language the server was installed, probably Norwegian.

Changing it might depend on the distro installed.
Which linux distro are you using?

Hi Richard..

yes, mail from root, I checked the server's language, its "LANG=en_US.UTF-8"!

Thank you.

Hello.
Maybe check with this command if this shows another language.

localectl

If it shows something which is not en_US you can change it with the following commands, which you can do anyway.

Code:
localectl set-locale en_US.UTF-8
localectl set-keymap us-intl
localectl

Then things should have changed.

If you are in a Debian (or derative like Ubuntu) environment you could try the sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales command.

All commands mentioned need to be done as root goes without saying. ;)
