Mail sent ignored on one server

Hi all,

I have a strange problem - all mail sent from any of the domains on my server is ignored or dropped by the mail server at my former workplace.

At the workplace they use an external mailserver to collect the mail, which is then fetched by the server in the office. None of the mails make it into the maillogs at the office. Unfortunately I cannot see the maillogs of the external server that collects the mail in the first place :-(

First I thought it might be because my reverse look-up wasn't working, but I fixed that. Not I fear that my (sending) mail server is being blacklisted (unless anyone van think of another cause?).

Is there any way to find out whether I am blacklisted, or only through asking the company the owns the external mailserver?

Thanks for your help,

Harro

Check your exim log (/var/log/exim/mainlog) to see what it says about delivering the mail.

If it's says delivery was OK, then the problem is occuring after the delivery and only the recipient server admin can track it.
