I'm new here but i'd like to ask a question right away.
I recently have done a huge mistake on my server, I 777'd all of the /usr partition/dir. This mistake has been taken care of the last few days so most of the things are fixed, but the mail isn't functioning in the right way.
What it currently does:
It recieves e-mails (it doesn't send them, atleast not to external adresses) in the global box, so I can view them on the Mail Queue Administration page. But they aren't getting send to the proper mailboxes (in squirrelmail), some are rejected and some just don't get there. For example, when I press a mail which doesn't give an error and press 'retry' it does get send, and it's in the mailbox in Squirrelmail.
So i can recieve mails, retry them through the Mail Queue Administration, but I can't send mails and it isn't being automated as it should be.
A good step in the right direction would be to know where I can find the utility vm-pop3d (if it's in the /usr/ dir) and set it back to the right permissions. 755 probably?
We have set exim back to the right proportions but only the file exim and not the other exim parts, maybe that's the problem, I don't really know.
I have set wu-imapd/imapd to the right permissions so that's all good as well, but it still doesn't seem to work.
I hope anyone on this forum can give me a helping hand on this! I would very much appreciate this!
