how do i do i set a subject for the mailing list whenever mail is send out...

example...
[DirectAdmin] This is a subject


just the [DirectAdmin], and the sender subject will continue from the [DirectAdmin]...



Please assist, thanks...

To answer your specific question, DirectAdmin makes it a bit easier to manage Majordomo lists; it has an interface so you can avoid formatting emails and sending them to Majordomo. To add a subject prefix:

1. Click on Mailing Lists

2. Click on view for the list for which you want to set this up.

3. Find the line (near the top of your screen): To change list and digest settings, click here and click on the click here portion of the line.

4. Fill in the Subject Prefix field. If you want the mailing list name, use $LIST, which will give you the full name of the mailing list. Or use [$LIST] if you want the listname in brackets. If you want something besides the listname, use it, in brackets if you want the brackets to appear, since majordomo won't add them by default.
