I have a question. How can i change a mailinglist to moderate, and how can i set control of a mailinglist , that subscribe users need approval before they can join a mailinglist. Under Directadmin i can set some things under the mailinglist-section but not how to set approval.

Set the "Moderate" to "yes", so that all posts require approval, and change "Subscribe policy" to "closed", that will mean that all subscribe requests also must be approved.

Yes i have tried that just ago, the moderator i can set, but how do i approve emails

You need to send the message back to majordomo with the the words

Approve: ${mailing_list_password}

as the first line. See here for a guide.

Is it also posible to archive the messages central ? Or is that not an available option for Majordomo ?

There are ways to do it, but I was never able to get it to work 100%, at least not with virtual hosts.

DA doesn't include Majordomo archives, and Majordomo archives don't include a web-based system to grab 'em, so the best bet is to install something else if you want archives. I've posted on another thread a few days ago with ideas.

We used to run a list-company with Majordomo, and it's actually quite easy to do it all once you know how, but it has to be dome from the shell, and you have to maintain it. So I recommend using a program that has it built-in.
