main account email does not work

Sorry if i am not clear on this.


I have a reseller named "joe" on the server and joe has created 2 domains. DirectAdmin has automatically created [email protected] for each. Joe is trying to check his email via outlook and it does not accept the password he uses for his control panel. DirectAdmin does not allow him to reset that email account password in the control panel. When he checks his email via squirrelmail it times out with a error.

Thanks for any suggestions on how to fix this.
 
This only impacts the reseller id. I also checked for any files that would contain the inbox for this id and I cannot seem to find those files in the user's mail folder for that domain or the user's home directory.
 
Hi,

Try accessing the account with the username as just 'username' instead of the full email address.

This only applies in the case of the user admin account.

Hi,

Are the domains set up as the resellers own domains or are they set up as seperate users?

I can't see any other way that you can have 2 usernames the same.
