I know this is not one of the favorite subject .. majordomo and I apologize .. :)

I've created a mailing on my VPS and I can send email just fine. However, several people in the mailing list some how received multiple copies of the same email. According to majordomo's mailing list archive, it has something to do with queue time being too short. Well I'm using the default setting which is 15 minutes, isn't 15 minutes is long enough?

Has anyone see this problem before, maybe you can shade some lights on how to solve it.

Thanks,

Fifteen minutes should be long enough, depending on the size of your list, and good your VPS connection to world really is, and how quickly email clears your server.

If it's not, lengthen it to an hour and see if that resolves the issue. If it's not resolved after an hour, then you should probably join the majordomo list and ask them for suggestions; if it is, then you can try finetuning the setting.

I've got also a question.
Does Majordomo initiate SMTP session with Exim once for all mails?
Or one session per one email address? Or something else?
