messed up important files, start over?

I thought I had all my files in two different folders so I went to delete one of them and I don't know whats happened but lots of my default files just aren't there anymore such as public_html are gone. Id try re creating them but Im not sure exactly what was where and Im afraid ill screw it up worse.
Is there anyway I can just get my my default folders back so I can re upload the site?
