Hello,

Does anybody have experience with using monit in combination with DirectAdmin?

I'm thinking of setting it up to monitor my server.

Explain what it is.

It's a monitoring tool monitoring services and attempting to restart them in case they fail. In case restarting fails, you are notified.

Directadmin already does this by default this isnt needed.

Does it also send a message once everything fails?

Yes you get an email when services go down.

monit does way more than DA as far as monitoring your server in many different ways.
