Move domain to other users account

Hello,

Situation is this:

There are user John and he has domain domain.tld, with pointer home.domain.tld. Also there is several @domain.tld mailboxes.

There are user Tom and he have otherdomain.tld.

I need make take out domain.tld from John and add it as alias (domain pointer) to anotherdomain.tld website.

Old domain.tld content must be still accesible by home.domain.tld, and mails also must be left in John's control.

It's possible and if yes, how?

Manually edit the http.conf for John and Tom.

Wouldn't it get overwritten when DA rewrites, unless you use a custom vhost for them 2 users.

Or chattr the file immutable afterwards if it's something you can't do easily otherwise.

There's a script for that, you'd need shell access though
