Hi all,

I wonder if any of you guys can help me. I'm in the process of migrating my clients from a RaQ with openwebmail to my new Linux server with DA/Squirrelmail.

Does anyone know how to migrate the webmail from openwebmail to squirrelmail. I've found the location of the openwebmail mail on the raq (/home/sites/sitexx/users/username/mail/*) but I don't know what to do with it on the Squirrel system, taking into account various mail folders that users have set up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Simon

hi rldev,

Tried that, no go. Got the dreaded 'setuid' error when attempting to install openwebmail (can't remember the exact error) and the remedy offered in the docs (recompiling perl  ) didn't work.

Squirrelmail works fine, is recognised by DA and seems fine, hence the change. Only a handful of customers use webmail in any case.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am in the same boat. When users move there messages to new folders with Openwebmail on the RAQ they can no longer be retrived with POP3 either. I was looking at using Fetchmail to move them all to the Directadmin box but it will miss all those.

Any other ideas?

Matthew

no, I'm afraid I never found a magic solution for this. In the end we just asked the few customers with stored email to download the stuff they wanted to keep. Not ideal, but there you go!
