Multi IP's for single user

Hello,

With the implementation of IPv6 we will be adding multi-IP support, since IPv6 domains will almost always need 2 IPs at the same time (ipv4+ipv6). No ETA on this though.

Topic posted long time back , but DA doing nothing for this ...

So my question is which panel support Multi IP's for single user as well. i am plan go to changing

We also use Cpanel, it don't support this either, 1 ip per user. I gave up worrying about this, I'd like to see DA fix this before Cpanel does so I can once again rub it into the Cpanel fanbois faces that DA owns Cpanel but if not, meh, life goes on.

The timing of your question happens coincide with the near completion of this exact major new feature.

It's already available in it's 90% complete form with the pre-release binaries:

The only bits that are missing (as of May 24th) are the extra IPs for domain pointers, and for the ftp setup (this gets messy for owned IPs).

This feature not only supports multiple IPs per User, but also multiple IPs per domain. This allows for IPv4 and IPv6 IPs on a single domain.

With the pre-release binaries, you can test drive it right now.

Related pages in the skins:
Reseller Level -> List Users -> user -> Modify User -> Additional IPs table
User Level -> Domain Setup -> domain.com -> Addtional IPs table

Note that the Additional IPs table will only show up if the User has multiple IPs to chose from. If he's only been assigned 1 IP, then the table will be hidden.

As with all major new feature, we'll be leaving it in the pre-release form for a while (starting once it's done) so it can get some solid testing under it's belt. As mentioned, it's not 100% done yet, and I have not yet tested it a whole lot so there may be bugs.

Sounds so nice , so we are waiting 1.352 release soon !

BTW, i have tested , working fine.

But there have some wrong with DNS record, i think this is beta issue!

Have one problem ,maybe i make mistake or something else!

I have 2 ips (ip1 and ip2)

i have successful assigned ip2 to user A, and working fine for this moment , but i can not assign ip2 to user B.
 
Remember that an IP must be set as "shared" if you want to assign it to multiple Users. Set it as "shared" before assigning it to a User:
Reseller Level -> IP Manager -> set as shared

thanks John, but at Reseller Level -> IP Manager -> set as shared , the ip(ip2) Status is owned, and go to Admin Lever there also same Status, so i need delete that and re-setting one more time ?

I delete , and now ip(ip2) Status is free. then i go to Admin Lever -> IP Manager -> assign this ip(ip2) to reseller .

But here only can assign to 1 reseller account !

My step:

A),Go to Admin Lever -> IP Manager --> add IP2 , now Status is free, then i assign this ip(ip2) to reseller A

B), Go to reseller A -> IP Manager --> Select ip(ip2) Status to shared

C), Go to Admin Lever -> IP Manager -->Check ip(ip2) Status , now status become to shared too.

D), Go to Reseller Level -> List Users -> user -> Modify User -> Additional IPs table , the table did not show ip(ip2) there !

And i did same step B), Go to reseller A -> IP Manager --> Select ip(ip2) Status to free. but at Reseller Level -> List Users -> user -> Modify User -> Additional IPs table , the table did not show ip(ip2) too.

Where is my mistake ?

hi, John,

I am back , i wanna ask at Admin Lever -> IP Manager --> after add IP2 , if can assign this ip(ip2) to all reseller, which be very powerful , then we can shared this IP to all reseller and user !

Question 2, right now , After assign this ip(ip2) to resellerA, But resellerA own site can not use ip2 .


Hope finish this function soon , we are in waiting mode...

Multi IP

I am trying to set up multi ip because of IPv6 but i dont show up i have the shared IP's and i cant get them assigned to a user both i can only choose 1 ip per user in modify user.
Is there a setting that must be set somewhere to enable multi IP ?
