[multi server setup] api problem

hello,

i'm trying to use multi server setup with ssl certificates enabled.
both servers have directadmin v1.29.0

server a can connect to server b without a problem

server b gives the following notice:

DirectAdmin v1.29.0 Unable to get api result. Check your configuration options.
 
I am having the same problem.
Server X can connect to Server Y
Server Y not to server X.

I checked directadmin.conf on both server and they both have the cluster=1 option. (if that does what I think it does, allow clustering)
 
Is there a firewall that has port 2222 and 53 blocked?
