Hello,

I see several ways mention on this board for setting up nameservers. I plan on multiple nameservers on my box with multiple resellers using these nameservers.

What would be the best way you recommend to go? Is it possible to allow multiple Resellers to use the same nameservers?

Thanks

I let resellers choose. Usually they like their own nameservers to brand their services.

When creating reseller packages, you have the option of not giving them any IP addresses, 2, or 3. In the first case they would use your nameservers, in the second and third choices they would be able to create their own as well.

They can create their nameservers even if you don't give them any IP#s, as long as you have at least two IP#s and you let them know what they are.

They can create them as virtual nameservers.

They'll work fine.

Ok, so I just setup multiple nameservers in DNS Administration. So if I setup a reseller now and let them use mine I go with no IP's and they can use any of my nameservers?

Then if someone wants to make there own, I can set them up with 2 or 3.

Correct?

We let our reseller clients either use our nameservers or any other nameserver names they want.

We tell them the IP#s to use to register their own nameservers, and we don't have to give them any extra IP#s of their own; they can use the same IP#s we already use for our nameserver names.

Thanks :) I played with the panel last night, understand. Many options on how to do that :) I really like it.

I have been using no panels for the last few years, have never found one that I liked until now :)
