MX for email error

I am trying to post a question about changing my mx record.
I wanted to point my emails to godaddy I had everything working fine and then it stopped receiving emails. I can send but not receive. I checked the settings at godaddy and it shows mailstore1.secureserver.net.derolds.com and shows that as an error
and it should be mailstore1.secureserver.net How do I remove the derolds.com. I enter it without that but it is being added on the other end and shows an error at godaddy. Thanks Chip

Did you use a trailing dot on the MX address?
so not:
mailstore1.secureserver.net
but
mailstore1.secureserver.net.

Did you also visit the seperate MX page to disable local mailserver and enable remote service?

No dot. But I did enable remote
