Ok, here is the deal. I have a site im working with (madtiger1.org). I want mx setup for it (mail.madtiger1.org) to point to and operate off of the mx for another site (mail.madtiger.org). That way if a user checks his email at mail.madtiger1.org or mail.madtiger.org it will be the same login information and the same email database. all of the information is to be held on the machine that mail.madtiger.org points to but i want mail.madtiger1.org to point to the same information and function exactly as the current mail server. Does anyone know how to do that with Directadmin?

Is mail.madtiger.org the same machine or another machine?

If it's another machine, then you create the MX records, turn off mail handling for mail.madtiger1.org on the DA server, and then the mail.madtiger.org server must be set up to accept mail for mail.madtiger1.org.

If the mail.madtiger.org server is another DA server, then the best way to handle it is to create a domain pointer for mail.madtiger1.org pointing to mail.madtiger.org on the machine hosting mail.madtiger.org, and then delete the DNS for it.

If it's not another DA server, then you're on your own.

If they're both on the same machine then the easiest way to handle it is to create forwards for all the mailboxes at mail.madtiger1.org to the same addresses at mail.madtiger.org.
