One of my customers sent mail via outlook and it was returned as spam.
server.mydomain.com is my direct admin server name.

mycustomersdomain.com represents my customers domain.
The interesting thing is that the IP address that showed is 71.**.**.230, which is the customers home DSL ip address.
If the customer is using the smtp in direct admin, why is the mail shown as coming from that address?

Does this mean that all mail sent from outlook will be labeled as spam? Your help is appreciated as I'm being grilled here. Thanks.

Spam detection software, running on the system "server.MYDOMAIN.com", has identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn't spam) or label similar future email. If you have any questions, see the administrator of that system for details.

I don't see how we can help without the headers.
Well, floyd, you can't help him without seeing the headers, and neither can I.

In order to do anything but guess, we need to see the real headers, not munged in any way. Without them we'd be guessing, and I've learned the hard way that guessing is just a waste of my time.

If you want to change actual local parts of the addresses with nonexistent ones so as to not attract spam, that's okay, but we need the rest.

For more details, look here.
