MySQL Cluster and DirectAdmin

Hello,

I am setting up clusters for all services. At the moment I have a DNS cluster with PowerDNS.

I also want to setup a MySQL cluster. MySQL Details are specified in /usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf (da_admin). If I change this user and point it to an external MySQL server, will DirectAdmin use it for all actions? And can I specify a host in the mysql.conf?

Will new databases be created on the remote MySQL server and can you control them via DA?? Will there be any conflicts between services?

Yes, they will, if you configure remote MySQL well, and grand access to directadmin user as per instruction, given above.
